A studio practice, not a salon chair
Most stylists are not trained in texture
They know straight hair with a blow-dryer. They do not know coil patterns, shrinkage, or the architecture of a proper curl cut. It is why textured hair so often comes home frizzy and shapeless from a salon that meant well. Lily works on curly and textured hair only, and she is the only living member of her family with curly hair, so she knows what it is to feel clueless about your own. Teaching you to understand it is the work.
